Celebrate Talley Groundbreaking

NC State will celebrate the official groundbreaking for the Talley Student Center renovation and addition project at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Chancellor Randy Woodson will speak, along with Marycobb Randall, past president of the Student Centers Board of Directors; Chandler Thompson, student body president; and Jonathon Smith, president of the Student Centers Board of Directors.

The groundbreaking will be followed by a reception featuring NC State Howling Cow Ice Cream.

Construction has been under way for several months on the project, which will triple the size of the building and create bright, open spaces. Talley will house Student Affairs organizations, new dining facilities, the NC State bookstore and retail operations. The project is funded by student fees, retail revenue and private donations.
