Visitor Parking Procedures Change July 1

Visitors looking for a place to park on NC State’s campus will have to follow new procedures to avoid getting a ticket during their stays.

Beginning Wednesday, visitor and daily contractor parking permits will no longer be sold at the Visitor Information Booths on Centennial Campus or on Main Campus, though permits are still available for purchase through the NCSU Transportation office at Administrative Services Building I at 2721 Sullivan Dr., from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Both booths will continue to provide parking information to visitor parking areas, as well as issue temporary permits to employees who arrive on campus without their assigned parking permits, but visitors can no longer purchase permits at the booths.

Campus visitors or anyone needing short-term parking may use one of the seven hourly pay parking locations, which includes the Dan Allen Deck and the Coliseum Deck on Main Campus and the Partners Way Deck on Centennial Campus. (Pay parking map.)

Those who park in a pay-by-space visitor lot may choose to upload the Passport payment application to pay by phone for their initial time or to extend time without returning to the parking lot.

Contractors who need parking for campus projects may purchase parking permits at the Transportation Office at Administrative Services Building 1, 2721 Sullivan Dr., from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Departments that invite visitors to campus may arrange for the guests’ parking through Transportation’s Guest Online System.  For more information about guest online parking, contact David Gregory at dwgrego2@ncsu.edu.
