Warren, vice provost for continuing education, will focus on supporting and expanding the organization’s membership during her term as president-elect. She assumed her duties at the association’s annual convention in Washington, D.C. in the spring.

“UPCEA’s membership is such a rich resource both for and of members,” she says. “Encouraging other educators to join us will boost collegial knowledge sharing, increase networking opportunities, and influence the diverse perspectives that will help us lead our field into the future.”

Warren joined the McKimmon Center for Extension and Continuing Education in 1979, ultimately advancing to lead the division in 2008 as assistant vice chancellor. Continuing education was aligned under the Provost’s Office in 2011 with Warren as vice provost.

Warren received the UPCEA South Region’s Outstanding Service to Continuing Education Award in 2013 and the Walton S. Bittner Citation for Outstanding Service to UPCEA in 2014.
