Take a Zipcar for a Spin
Learn about NC State’s new car-share program during two special events on campus.
Speakers from campus will explain the program during a launch at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, in the D.H. Hill Library assembly room. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can see Zipcars on the Brickyard.
Zipcar provides campus vehicles that paid members can rent for an hourly rate. Four new vehicles are available: two Prius hybrids and two Scion XB crossovers. Two cars are parked in the Dan Allen carriageway near the Cates/Dan Allen intersection and two are parked on Dunn Avenue in front of the Coliseum parking deck.
Rentals are available to members around the clock for $8 per hour. The rate includes gas, insurance and roadside assistance. For more information, visit www.zipcar.com/ncsu.
NCSU affiliates who join Zipcar before March 1 will receive $45 in free driving credits to use in their first month. The promotional code for the discount is backtoschool2011.
