Apply Now for Leadership Program
The university’s Pathways Leadership Development Program is accepting applications through July 1.
Pathways is open to full-time employees who demonstrate leadership potential. Training sessions cover topics such as interpersonal communication, teamwork, project management, ethics and conflict resolution. The program, which begins in August and runs through May, costs $295. The time commitment includes 90 hours of required courses and 21 hours of meeting time.
Nearly 700 people have completed Pathways in the 15 years it has been offered. Here are recommendations from colleagues who’ve completed the program:
“Pathways has been one of the best learning environments I’ve experienced. The lessons I’ve learned are applied every day with clients, extremely useful curriculum applicable to my job and career growth, fantastic instructors who not only knew their subjects, but knew how it applied within the overall goals of Pathways.”
—Scott Place, Small Business and Technology Development Center
“More valuable than processes and procedures, though, is the confidence I gained and the empowerment I feel in my ability to effect change in the workplace, in my life and in the world.”
—Heather McKay, NCSU Libraries
“I am serious when I say that Pathways is one of the most important things that NC State does, and the 675 graduates are making a real difference on campus or wherever they are.”
—Dr. Tim Luckadoo, associate vice chancellor, Student Affairs
