Katie Sheats, associate professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine, has been recognized with the 2026 NC Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching. NC State announced its 2025-26 class of Goodnight Early Career Innovators today. This program recognizes and rewards promising NC State early-career faculty whose scholarship is in STEM or STEM education. The 25 faculty selected will receive $22,000 ­for each of the next three years to support their scholarship and research endeavors.

Update on SACSCOC Reaffirmation of Accreditation Process

The Board of Trustees of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) officially reaffirmed NC State's institutional accreditation through 2034, with no additional requested reports. The decision was made during the SACSCOC annual meeting on December 8, 2024.
