Student Media Makes Headlines

Wolfpack in the… Toy Department?

The competition was fierce at a local retail store, where members of the NC State football team took time out from bowl preparations to stuff shopping carts in a quest to become the team's top shopper for the Marines' Toys for Tots program. In just 45 minutes, players snagged more than $24,000 in toys to give to children in need.

Generosity Unrivaled

NC State chancellor Randy Woodson announced Friday, Dec. 17, that the university has received the largest gift in its history - $40 million - from Lonnie and Carol Johnson Poole. The substantial part of their contribution, $37 million, funds an endowment to support and name NC State's College of Management.
