Vaccine center set for boost with state funding, Winston-Salem Journal, May 21, 2013. The North Carolina Center for Vaccine Innovation needs about $20 million to get up and running towards its mission of shortening the time it takes to get a new vaccine onto the market. The center would be a nonprofit consortium of the medical schools with involvement as well by NC State University, UNC Charlotte and state and national biotechnology groups.
