NC State Experts on 2022 Winter Olympics
As the 2022 Winter Olympics begin this week in Beijing, media looking for commentary on human rights abuses in connection to large events, climate change and winter sports, mental health of athletes and the impact of another (mostly) spectator-less Games can contact experts from North Carolina State University.

Jason Bocarro is a professor and University Faculty Scholar in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at NC State. He can speak on the role of advocacy organizations in holding organizers of mega-events accountable for human rights abuses; mental health issues and strategies for athletes; issues related to mega-event legacies; and equity issues in sports and recreation.
