Dr. Michael Luther, an NC State alumnus who serves as president of the David H. Murdock Research Institute in Kannapolis, joined the College of Management’s Board of Advisors.
Students helped organize the dinner as a fundraising event for Stop Hunger Now, the international hunger relief agency based in Raleigh.

Dr. Brad Mehlenbacher, associate professor of distance learning, has been elected chair of the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Design of Communication.
Dr. Warwick Arden, interim provost and dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, has been named president of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges for 2009-10.
Thanks to a communication consulting project conducted by graduate students at NC State, the Lucy Daniels Center has access to key analytical data that may help it continue to grow and prosper despite the recession.

Dr. H. Christopher Frey, professor of civil, construction and environmental engineering, has been selected by the National Academy of Sciences to serve a three-year term on the Board of Environmental Studies and Toxicology.

Students donated more than 1000 lbs. of food, 9,300 lbs. of clothing and supplies, and 3,000 lbs. of electronics and furniture at the Pack N Go event.
