Former U.S. Poet Laureate Speaking at NC State

What: North Carolina State University will be the host for a lecture and reading by former U.S. Poet Laureate (2006-2008) Charles Simic. He is the recipient of a Pulitzer Prize, a MacArthur fellowship and the Wallace Stevens award. Simic’s works include “That Little Something” and “Walking the Black Cat.”

Who: Sponsored by NC State’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program and Arts NC State.

When: Monday, March 29. The lecture is at 3:00 p.m., the reading is at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Both events will be on the NC State campus. The lecture will be held at Stewart Theatre, in the Talley Student Center on Cates Ave. The reading will take place at the Titmus Theatre in Thompson Hall on Dunn Ave.

Cost: The lecture and the reading are both free and open to the public.
