Writing the Book on Scholarly Publishing
Dr. Tim Hatcher has helped write the book on scholarly publishing, complete with sections on working with journal editors, dealing with rejection and handling rewrites.
Hatcher, an associate professor of human resource development and adult education, is co-author of the Handbook of Scholarly Writing and Publishing with Tonette S. Rocco of Florida International University.
The handbook provides emerging scholars with specific guidelines on how to craft scholarly papers and other writing for academic journals within their disciplines. Authors will find information about the components of a manuscript, specific types of manuscripts and steps in the submission process. Other sections provide advice on developing writing skills and becoming a skilled reviewer.
The book will be available in April from Jossey-Bass.
