Get a Sneak Peek of New Products at NC State eGames Showcase

The Entrepreneurship Initiative of North Carolina State University is showcasing the entrepreneurs and products developed as part of its eGames competition on Thursday, April 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the McKimmon Center on NC State’s campus. Media coverage of the event is invited.

A new method for teaching guitar was among last year's winners.

Products developed by NC State students include everything from a safer wooden baseball bat to a low-cost, sustainable way of handling human waste disposal in third-world countries.

This is a good opportunity to see new product ideas that may be on the market before you know it. SoundAround, a team from last year’s contest, sold its product to New York-based ReverbNation only months after competing.

The eGames competition awards more than $30,000 in prize money across four different competition categories, ranging from designs for a potential new product to best business plan.

The McKimmon Center is located at 1101 Gorman Street in Raleigh. Additional information about the eGames is available at http://ei.ncsu.edu/egames/.
