Krute Named ASEE Fellow
Dr. Linda Krute, director of the Engineering Online program, has been named to the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Academy of Fellows. She will be honored at the annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Fellows are members with outstanding qualifications and experience who have made important contributions in engineering, engineering technology education or an allied field. Special attention is given to an individual’s contributions within ASEE.
Krute has served the ASEE Continuing Professional Development Division as chair, treasurer, program chair and general conference chair of the Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration (CIEC). She was division chair and CIEC program chair and general conference chair for the College-Industry Division. She was awarded the Joseph M. Biedenbach Distinguished Service Award in 2004 and in 2009.
Krute, who came to NC State in 2002, administers undergraduate and graduate distance education programs in the College of Engineering, which has one of the nation’s largest online engineering programs.
More than 12,000 deans, professors, instructors, students and industry representatives are members of ASEE, a nonprofit association dedicated to engineering and technology education.
