On the Move
Students aren’t the only ones packing up and moving out this month. In preparation for the Talley Student Center renovation, the bookstore, student organizations and some units in Student Affairs are headed for new locations in Harrelson Hall.
The bookstore will be the first to relocate to the first floor of Harrelson. May 27 is the last day at the current location. It will close for a week during the move, reopening Monday, June 6.
On June 8, these student organizations will move to Harrelson:
- Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Center
- Native American Student Association
- Student Government
- Student Organizational Resource Center
- Union Activities Board

Orange Barrel Alert
Navigating the streets around Talley will be more challenging this summer. Beginning in June, Cates Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Dan Allen Drive and Morrill Drive. East Cates Avenue from Morrill Drive eastbound will often be reduced to one-lane traffic. Employee (C) parking won’t be allowed on the street.
Pedestrian access to Talley Student Center will remain open. Look for construction fences and wayfinding signs as you walk.
