Culberson to Receive Menscer Cup
Frank Culberson, chairman and former chief executive of Rimkus Consulting Group in Houston, will be honored for his philanthropy with the 2011 Menscer Cup from NC State.
Culberson, a 1960 graduate of NC State, has served as president of the university’s Engineering Foundation. Recently, he and his wife, Doris, pledged $1 million over five years to endow two professorships in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. From 2005 to 2008, he served as co-chair of Achieve! The Campaign for NC State, which surpassed its goals by raising $265.7 million.
The NC State University Foundation Board presents the Menscer Cup each year to recognize contributions to NC State through philanthropy and fundraising leadership.The award is named for Darrell V. and Carolyn W. Menscer, who established an endowment to fund it. Darrell Menscer chaired the NC State Foundation and co-chaired the Campaign for NC State Students, leading University Advancement efforts that enhanced fundraising, endowment management and alumni services.
Culberson will accept the Menscer Cup on Oct. 27.
