‘In the Garden’ Opens Ninth Season
In the Garden with Bryce Lane began its ninth season Sept. 10 on UNC-TV.
The Emmy-winning program, which airs on Saturdays at noon, features an array of gardening wisdom from horticultural science instructor Bryce Lane.
Viewers can earn college credits for “In the Garden” by registering through NC State’s Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) office.
Here are some highlights of upcoming programs:
- A visit to Raleigh’s Plant Delights Nursery for a sneak peek at some of the latest and greatest perennial plants.
- An insider’s view of Chicago Botanic Gardens and Morton Arboretum, along with beautiful gardens close to home.
- Bizarre botanicals at the UNC-Charlotte Botanical Garden and a cool conservatory at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens near Charlotte.
- A home landscape project, demonstrating how to take a backyard living space from drab to fab on a budget.
The program is sponsored jointly by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service.
