Yow Receives 2-Year Extension, Raise

At its April meeting last week, the NC State Board of Trustees approved a two-year contract extension and raise for Deborah A. Yow, the school’s athletics director since June 2010.

Yow’s newly extended contract runs through July 2019 and her total compensation, which is paid from athletics-generated income and not state or tuition funds, will go from $516,000 to $690,000.

Yow, 62, has said she intends to retire when her contract expires.
