Another week, another grand opening in the new Talley Student Union.
On Monday, the 1887 Bistro will open its doors on the second floor of NC State’s lavish new gathering spot for students, faculty and staff. The fine-dining restaurant will serve lunch and late-night fare.
Open from 11 a.m until 2 p.m. daily, the traditional Southern lunch menu will offer items such as fresh salads, smoked beef brisket sandwiches, pork belly BLTs, flatbreads, coffee-rubbed beef medallions and other familiar dishes.
The late-night menu will be served from 9 p.m. until midnight on weeknights. It will include a full slate of shareable appetizers and desserts. Options include, buffalo chicken dip, pork belly sliders, firecracker shrimp, chimichurri steak skewers, Southwest eggrolls and more.
The new restaurant will accept Dining Dollars and AllCampus funds, as well as cash, credit cards and debit cards. Students with meal plans will receive an $8.50 meal credit at the late-night meal period.
