University Dining Adds Ordering App
Tapingo, a popular online food ordering mobile application, is now available at NC State to make University Dining eating options more convenient.
On-the-go diners can place an order on their phones and pick it up at the appropriate dining location within minutes, avoiding the hassles of long lines in between classes, meetings or other appointments.
The service was launched on Nov. 9 at select locations, including Jason’s Deli, Tuffy’s Diner, Port City Java, Starbucks and On the Oval.
The free mobile app is available for both iPhones and Android devices. Diners can pay via Dining Dollars, Meal Credits, AllCampus student funds or a major credit card. Users can browse menus of nearby venues and place orders with their phones. When the order is ready, the customer receives a text from Tapingo.
The app even remembers personal preferences for one-tap reorders.
University Dining hopes to add AllCampus payroll deduction for faculty and staff as an option for payment in the future.
