Events Highlight Human Trafficking
NC State hosts events on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 to highlight the global problem of human trafficking. The events are free and open to the public.
Wednesday, Jan. 31
5:30–6:45 p.m. in Stewart Theatre, Talley Student Union
Not My Life – Documentary screening and panel discussion with representatives of UNICEF and the FBI. Pizza and beverages will be provided.
Thursday, Feb. 1
5:30–7 p.m. in Mountains Ballroom, Talley Student Union
Richard Lapchick from the National Consortium for Academics and Sports and Eitan Peled from UNICEF USA will speak and answer questions. Attendees will receive tickets to the women’s basketball game versus Florida State University, which takes place in Reynolds Coliseum immediately following the presentation.
Program partners include NC State Athletics, Athletes in Action, Captain’s Council, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Counseling Center, Division of Academic and Student Affairs, Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, FBI Charlotte Field Office and Raleigh Resident Agency, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Multicultural Student Affairs, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Student Government, University Scholars Program and the Women’s Center.
