NC State x Starbucks Collab Brings Branded Mug, Tumbler to Campus and Beyond
NC State fans have a new reason to add another tumbler or mug to their cup collection with the university’s new collaboration with Starbucks.
NC State is now among only 30 universities included in Starbucks’ “Been There Series” Campus Collection of officially licensed coffee mugs. They, along with the new “Sparkle Tumblers,” are available now (or by June 25) at over 100 Starbucks locations within 20 miles of NC State, including the Starbucks locations on campus.
The “Been There Series” Campus Collection mug boasts significant landmarks and figures close to the university, such as the school’s mascot, Mr. Wuf, The Memorial Belltower, Carter-Finley Stadium, a scoop of Howling Cow ice cream, Centennial Campus’ James B. Hunt Jr. Library, the Brickyard, and others.
The Sparkle Tumbler is set in NC State red with the university’s Block S logo front and center.
“We are passionate about securing more collabs with strong national brands like this one with Starbucks, not only because they help continue to elevate the NC State brand and generate revenue for student scholarships, but also because they demonstrate the loyalty and pride of our entire Wolfpack who have consistently supported these efforts enthusiastically,” said Chris Boyer, assistant vice chancellor for strategic brand management at NC State.
Companies who partner with the NC State brand generally get rewarded for “running with the Pack,” Boyer said.
Trademark-licensing royalties from the sales of the co-branded mugs and tumblers will support NC State student scholarships in areas of need, merit, study abroad, and athletics.
The coffee mug sells for $12.95 and the Sparkle Tumbler can be purchased for $24.95.
