The Fall Class of 2024, By The Numbers

More than 3,300 students will turn their tassels at NC State's fall commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 14.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, North Carolina State University will welcome 3,315 graduates to the ranks of its alumni at its fall commencement ceremony. The event begins at 9 a.m. in the Lenovo Center. Media coverage is invited. Credentialed media interested in attending should contact Lauren Barker at lauren_barker@ncsu.edu with any questions.  

NC State will confer 3,439 degrees at the ceremony, including 2,011 bachelor’s, 977 master’s, 401 doctoral and 50 associate degrees. Many of the 3,315 graduates will receive multiple degrees.

This semester’s graduating class represents 52 countries and 39 states. The class includes 419 first-generation students, 61 veterans and 455 international students. More than 1,000 graduates will receive their degrees with honors, including 392 summa cum laude, 329 magna cum laude and 340 cum laude. The class also includes 10 Caldwell Fellows, 13 Park Scholars, 19 Goodnight Scholars, 138 University Scholars and 77 University Honors students.

Two-time alumna and global leader in emerging technologies Rashida A. Hodge will deliver the commencement address. Elyza Tran, who is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, will deliver the student commencement address to her fellow graduates.
