Adjustments to Wolfpack 2030, Vision and Values

NC State faculty and staff,

We write to you today to share that we have made revisions to language in our university strategic plan, Wolfpack 2030: Powering the Extraordinary, as well as our university vision and values statements. These adjustments were made to align language with the UNC System’s equality policy and to reinforce our institutional commitment to equality, belonging and well-being.

Within the strategic plan, we specifically revised Goal 4, which is now to “Champion a culture of equality, belonging and well-being in all we do.” To read the executive summary and exposition of the goal, please visit our strategic plan website.

Our vision and values statements focus on creating a welcoming and supportive community that applies our land-grant mission to advance the greater good. To read our full mission, vision and values statements, please visit our website.

We recognize that units across the university build their strategic plans and values statements in support of the university’s broader goals. In a message shared with university leaders earlier this week, we’ve requested a review of college and unit materials to ensure language is in alignment with these changes and with UNC System policy.

It remains critical that we continue working together as an institution to ensure that NC State is a place where all feel a sense of community and opportunity. Thank you for the work you do to bring our vision and mission to life.
