Annual N.C. Energy Conference To Be Hosted by NC State This April

The conference, which is hosted annually by NC State’s Office of Professional Development and the NC Clean Energy Technology Center, part of the College of Engineering, is a two-day event for professionals in the energy industry. This year, it will take place on April 23 and 24 at the McKimmon Conference & Training Center on Gorman Street.

Remembering Former Associate Professor, Assistant Dean for Diversity Paul F. Bitting

Dr. Paul F. Bitting, a former longtime faculty member in NC State’s College of Education and a lifelong advocate for educational access and opportunity, recently passed away. Bitting was a member of the College of Education’s faculty for about 30 years and retired in 2016 as associate professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development. He also served as the college’s assistant dean for diversity from 2006-2007.

North Carolina State University Announces New Scholarship Funded by Alumni Rhett & Link

The scholarship, titled “The Rhett & Link Engineering Innovation Scholarship Fund,” will be available to third- and fourth-year engineering students who demonstrate commitment to innovation and creativity in engineering, sciences, the arts, entertainment or the intersection of these disciplines. One student will hold the scholarship for two years.
