Baliga Wins Nation’s Top Technology Prize
Dr. B. Jayant Baliga, inventor of energy-saving semiconductor technology, is a winner of the nation’s top technology prize, President Obama announced today.
Baliga, an electrical engineering professor and director of NC State’s Power Semiconductor Research Center, will accept the National Medal of Technology and Innovation at a White House ceremony later this fall.
He joins a distinguished group of past recipients, including Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
