Fuentes Appointed Editor

Dr. Montserrat Fuentes has been appointed editor of the Journal of Agricultural, Biological and
Environmental Statistics.

Fuentes will begin her duties in January with the journal, which is published jointly by the International Biometric Society and the American Statistical Association. She previously served as associate editor of Biometrics for seven years.

Fuentes joined the faculty in 1998 soon after earning a doctorate in statistics from the University of Chicago. She is a professor of statistics with associate status in the Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. She is a past member of the Biostatistical Methods and Research Design study section of the National Institutes of Health.
