Imagery from the Landsat 8 satellite reveals the blackwaters of the Suwannee River contrasting against the greenish-blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, capturing large-scale relationships between upstream change, river flow, and oyster reef health. Upstream changes in land use and land cover impact estuarine environments, leading to degradation of many nearshore habitats.
