A new University Faculty Scholars Program announced Wednesday will provide five years of annual support for up to 20 faculty members identified as emerging leaders.

Dr. Richard Venditti, forest biomaterials professor, has been named a 2012 fellow of TAPPI, the nation’s leading association for the worldwide pulp, paper, packaging and converting industries.
Dr. Jason Swarts, associate professor English, has won a technical and scientific communication award from the Conference on College Composition and Communication.
NC State's Sociology Graduate Student Association presented Dr. Michael Schulman with its Lifetime Mentorship Award for 30 years of work with graduate students in sociology and anthropology.
