Theriot Earns NIH Grant

College of Veterinary Medicine's Casey Theriot, an assistant professor of infectious disease in the department of population health and pathobiology, has been awarded a $1.5 million National Institutes of Health grant for research combating one of the leading hospital-acquired infections in the United States.

Incoming CVM Student Named Tillman Scholar

Maj. Amie Pflaum, former Blackhawk helicopter pilot in Afghanistan, is one of 60 Tillman Scholars for 2016, given annually by the Pat Tillman Foundation. She plans to become a public health veterinarian for the U.S. Army, specializing in humanitarian missions in the developing world.
