Celebrate Graduate Research

More than 200 graduate students will participate in NC State’s Graduate Student Research Symposium on March 22 from 1:30-4 p.m. at the McKimmon Center. It will be the signature event of NC State’s Graduate Education Week, which is slated for March 20-24.

Grad School Staff Takes Third in Wellness

A team of graduate school employees recently placed third in the state’s eight-week Miles for Wellness competition, “Super Hare” division. They were the only NC State team to place in the statewide competition, which involved more than 3,800 state employees who completed the challenge.

Graduate student Melissa Tinling used a grant from the NC State Sustainability Fund to build a pollinator garden on Centennial Campus, a project that helps manage stormwater and provides a habitat for native pollinators like bees, moths and butterflies.

Study Suggests Trend Towards Research Article Dissertations

A new study by NC State's Graduate School finds that most doctoral dissertations at STEM institutions are more likely to be research article based. The findings will presented at the Council of Writing Program Administrators in Raleigh this week.
