Get Ready to Roll up Your Sleeves

Organizers of Service NC State are lining up support now for an attempt at a record-setting 500-pint blood drive on Aug. 20.

If you’re willing to roll up your sleeve and donate a pint, please make an appointment by July 1. (Appointments will be taken after July 1; organizers just want to get a head start.)

The blood drive with the American Red Cross Service is a new addition to Service NC State, held the first weekend after classes start each fall. NC State is also setting its sights on breaking its Million Meals  record of packaging nutritious food for those in need. All of this year’s meals will go to Haiti.

Both events are open to members of the campus and local communities.

To get involved with Service NC State, contact the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics and Public Service.
