5th Annual Campus CPR Challenge to be Held Nov. 19

What:
The North Carolina State University community and the general public are invited to take the CPR challenge and earn first aid or CPR certification from the American Red Cross. Instructors will offer classes in adult CPR, child and infant CPR, AED and basic first aid during morning, afternoon and evening sessions.

Who:
Sponsored by NC State Campus Recreation

When:
Friday, Nov. 19. There are three sessions:  9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1 to 5 p.m., and 6 to 10 p.m.

Where:
Carmichael Gymnasium on the NC State campus

Cost:
Faculty, staff and students can become certified for only $25 for the first class and $10 for each additional certification. The challenge is also offered to the  general public for just $35 for the first class and $10 for each additional class. Walk-ins are welcome.

Poll: Public To Vote Against Its Interests On International Trade

Polling data collected by North Carolina State University researchers in advance of the 2010 election show that potential voters in North Carolina who oppose international free trade agreements are more likely to vote for the candidate who does not reflect their opinion on free trade – and the stronger their opposition to trade agreements, the more likely they are to vote against their interest. Researchers Developing Real-Time Electronic Monitoring For Coastal Waters
