Borden Honored for Lifetime Achievement
Engineering professor and environmental consultant Robert C. Borden received the 2010 Brown and Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions as a leader, innovator and teacher.
Dr. Borden, a faculty member for 24 years, has been a research and engineering consultant to the Raleigh, N.C.-based environmental engineering firm Solutions-IES and bioremediation products firm EOS Remediation.His work has contributed to the practical understanding of in situ bioremediation, development of new products for soil and aquifer remediation, and advances in the understanding of bioremediation processes.
Borden was honored during the International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds in Monterey, Calif.
