Hergeth Named Research Ambassador

Dr. Helmut Hergeth, associate professor of textile management, has been selected as a research ambassador with the German Academic Exchange Service.

The ambassador program honors those who have conducted a long-term research project in Germany at the doctoral or postdoctoral level. Hergeth, a faculty member in Textile and Apparel Technology and Management, joined 17 other 2010-11 ambassadors for a seminar about developments in German higher education and opportunities for North American scientists and academics to conduct research in Germany or with German colleagues.

The German exchange service, which promotes international cooperation, is in its second year.
