Human Rights Day Contest Announced

Create an original work to show your support for Human Rights Day. You could win recognition and a $200 cash prize.

The Office for Diversity and Inclusion and the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics and Public Service are sponsoring an essay and multimedia competition. NC State students, staff, faculty, alumni and emeritus faculty are eligible to compete.

This year’s entries should focus on an issue related to the rights of women. Categories include an essay of  under 1,000 words or a multimedia project, which can include a video up to 90 seconds long, original computer game, iPhone or iPad application, or Web-based interactive piece. The contest has a division for undergraduates and one for all other entrants. First place winners in each category of each division will receive a $200 cash prize. The deadline to enter is Nov. 15. Human Rights Day is Dec. 10.
