NC State Unveils New Entrepreneurship Facility For Students

North Carolina State University is unveiling a new facility designed to help student entrepreneurs dream up new ideas – and turn those dreams into reality. The facility, called “The Phase I Garage,” was sponsored by the NC State Entrepreneurship Initiative and Red Hat, Inc. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house will be held Sept. 13 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Media coverage of the event is invited.

Speakers at the ribbon-cutting event will include NC State Chancellor Randy Woodson, Red Hat CEO Jim Whitehurst and Dr. Tom Miller, executive director of the Entrepreneurship Initiative.

From motorcycle superchargers to portable interactive whiteboards, the open house will feature ongoing student entrepreneurship projects and opportunities to learn more about NC State’s Entrepreneurship Initiative.

The event will be held at the Garage, Suite 1800 in Research Building IV, which is located at 909 Capability Drive on NC State’s Centennial Campus.
