Olympian Pooches

Dog owners; get ready and mark your calendars for the 21st Annual Dog Olympics. Next Saturday, Sept. 8, see your pooch go for gold at this popular family event hosted by the College of Veterinary Medicine at the Veterinary Health Complex on Centennial Biomedical Campus. Organizers say the goal is celebrating the human-animal bond and raising money to further the work of local animal rescue groups.

This year’s Olympic challenges include howling, roll over rover, best trick and dog limbo. Admission is $1 per person, $1 per pooch and $7 per entry. Children under 5 get in free. All dogs must be current with vaccinations to compete.
