Naval Head Visits

Join the NC State Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development’s for a talk with Admiral Matthew Klunder, the head of the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Klunder will address the Navy’s current and future investments in university research at a forum in the Engineering Building Room 1025 on Centennial Campus at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11.

You might be interested to know that the ONR’s fundamental research budget for FY2012 was $605 million, and the applied research funding level for FY2012 was $823 million. ONR supports research opportunities, including single investigator awards, young investigator awards, Multidisciplinary University Research Initiatives (MURI) awards and innovation initiatives. Interested in attending?
