Welcome to the Spring!
Dear Wolfpackers,
The days have started getting longer, and the semester is now in full swing. I’m excited to serve as your Student Body President in my final semester at N.C. State. Student Government has been hard at work behind the scenes planning great events for the final months of this academic year.
In the coming weeks we will be launching a new Student Government website that we’ve closely integrated with the Current Students page you’re reading this blog post on. The HOWL emails I send out with pertinent student information will link you to our site so that you can read the content that interests you and not the stuff that doesn’t. We want to make it easy for every student on campus to access information dealing with campus events, Student Government, and N.C. State resources.
To improve campus safety, Student Government will be partnering with Campus Police to hold Night Walk from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20. Students, police officers and administrators divide into groups and fan out across campus to pinpoint and address current safety problems. We will look for dark places, trip hazards and lights that are out, as well as issues that we as students see as important to campus safety. Sign up for Nightwalk from this link.
Coaches’ Corner is making great progress, as well! Drafts of the statues have been released as our commissioned artists begin to honor N.C. State’s great coaches. Check out the website for more details.
Finally, let’s paint campus red on Fridays! N.C. State has a student body that rivals any other university in the country, so make it known on Fridays that you love the Wolfpack by wearing red to show your school spirit!
Go Pack!
