They met on the Court of North Carolina at a Goodnight Scholars event, only to find out they both lived in Bragaw Hall. Niambé James and Kourtni Curry have been inseparable ever since.

As they prepare to graduate with degrees in sustainable materials and technology and animal science, respectively, Niambé and Kourtni return to the location where it all started to reflect on how their friendship shaped their time at NC State and helped them persevere through the pandemic.

“I am a big believer in everything happens for a reason,” Niambé said. “People come into your life for a reason, and I really do believe God put you in my life for a reason.”
