Chancellor Randy Woodson delivered his annual fall address to the NC State community on Monday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m., live from the floor of Talley Student Union. The entire campus community was invited to attend, and the address was also streamed online for the wider Wolfpack.

The event took place right next door to the Red and White Week Student Kickoff on Stafford Commons and marked the beginning of NC State’s weeklong celebration of homecoming.

In this year’s address, the chancellor highlighted the individual and collective achievements of the NC State community — students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends — and the scale and scope of the university’s mission to create prosperity for the state, nation and world.

“I want you to know that however big and ambitious you think NC State is, you need to think bigger,” the chancellor said. “Your studies, your work, your research, extension and partnership … they’re vital. They change lives for the better, far beyond this campus.”
