Discounts on shopping, dining and special events are part of NC State’s employee discount program, Wolfperks, which includes about 150 vendors, says Rob Stevenson, employee recognition program manager with Human Resources.

Romantics can find discounts on heart-shaped jewelry, red roses, greeting cards and formal wear. Too traditional? How about a trip to the aquarium or a day at the spa?

If your special someone isn’t the sentimental type, choose an autographed sports jersey or special event tickets. You can sample sushi or Indian food for a surprise.

If you’re already set for Valentine’s don’t forget about WolfPerks next time you’re in search of a cheap date. Services like pet sitting and home repairs are available year-round.
