Nearer Horizons

In 2017, seven more NC State projects will receive support from the Chancellor’s Innovation Fund. The funding will help researchers move innovative discoveries from the lab bench to the marketplace, in areas ranging from the development of new antibiotics to the creation of faster, more accurate medical diagnostic tools.

Theriot Earns NIH Grant

College of Veterinary Medicine's Casey Theriot, an assistant professor of infectious disease in the department of population health and pathobiology, has been awarded a $1.5 million National Institutes of Health grant for research combating one of the leading hospital-acquired infections in the United States.
