Julia Brickhouse, a special education teacher at Eastern Elementary School in Greenville, has been named a 2013-14 Kenan Fellow. An initiative of the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science at NC State University, the Kenan Fellows Program sends accomplished teachers into contemporary “learning labs” in industry or higher education where they are paired with a mentor.
