Miss NC overcomes disability, achieves dreams, Carolinacoastonline, Oct. 23, 2013. Miss North Carolina Johna Edmonds overcame a childhood reading disability to become a college graduate. The 24-year-old NC State accounting graduate stressed the importance of reading to reach those dreams.
