Scotty McCreery returns to ‘Idol’ to perform new single, News & Observer, April 10, 2013. With his new single released to radio and iTunes this week, Scotty McCreery will return to the show that made him famous to perform the song Thursday night. McCreery is a freshman at NC State University during the week and is traveling and performing on weekends with his “The Weekend Roadtrip Tour 2013.”
