Rain Gardening Book Yields Gold

Two horticultural science professors, Helen Kraus and Anne Spafford, have won a gold medal from the Garden Writers Association for their book, Rain Gardening in the South: Ecologically Designed Gardens for Drought, Deluge and Everything in Between.

Peachy Keen Genome

Lo & Behold "Blue Chip" Buddleia (butterfly bush), developed by Dennis Werner and Layne Snelling in the horticultural science department, was named the best new plant for 2009.
