NC State announced this week that it will deploy the free Google Apps Education Edition as its official university e-mail service for students. In addition to receiving 35 times more storage space for e-mail, students will have access to Google’s suite of popular collaboration tools, including a word processor, chat program, calendar and Web site builder.

Students Receive Degrees At NC State’s Fall Commencement

North Carolina State University Chancellor James H. Woodward conferred 3,013 degrees on 2,881 graduating students when the university held its 2009 Fall Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 19, at the RBC Center in Raleigh. North Carolina State University was listed as the 10th best value among public universities by Kiplinger earlier this week, showing that NC State provides an excellent education at an affordable price. Kiplinger is the third prominent list of university rankings to place NC State in the top 10 for value in the past year.
