It's a race against the clock - as well as teams from 15 other universities across North America - to retool their ride into an energy-efficient, EcoCAR Challenge award winner.

Italo Leiva was struggling to learn sheet music for guitars when suddenly a light bulb went off. Specifically, a light with seven colors. So, Leiva color-coded his guitar strings to improve his skills, and now fronts a start-up business with a chance to become a big hit in the music equipment industry.

Now, during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NC State floriculturists have unveiled a new symbol of the fight against breast cancer - pink poinsettias.
